My Appearance on Marvelous Mondays

Marvelous Mondays is a great radio show that is hosted by two great guys named Harry and Phil. They try to bring a little light to the gloom that is too often present in our world. They try to proved the best and most inpiring news stories to internet radio.

I think Harry and Phil put it  best in their own words:

"Our mission is to bring ONLY the Best of the Most Inspiring Good News to the Internet Air Waves each and every Monday night.

It is important to each of us to fulfill this weekly pledge. The world is lit up by Good News.

It is humanity's BEST reflection...The best way to see ourselves and our marvelous possibilities as beings, citizens, and agents for positive change."

Here is the link to the show I did with them back in April. Give it a listen and look at their other recordings.

Spiritual Recipes to Raise your Vibrations

To raise one’s vibrations it occurred to me that I had to start eating healthy. I ate junk food and fast food because I’m always so busy. I seemed stuck in manifesting what I wanted. I could manifest most things but there have been other things such as spiritual enlightenment, continuous joy and getting clear on situations and people I was having trouble getting clear on. Suddenly it came to me in a dream, in the dream I dreamt I was eating muddy worms and gross bugs and when I looked across the table I could see people dressed shabbily with angry faces and sadness all around them. They were eating the horrible food too. When I woke up from that dream it hit me, I wasn’t taking care of my body, I was taking in bad fuel. When your body is not taken care of how can your spirit grow vibrationally? It can’t because your energy is going to trying to take care of your body and releasing the junk being put inside it every day. I decided to change my diet and have seen fast results, I’ve also gotten even luckier with out even trying.
As a teenager, I cooked with my Grandmother and won first prize in a pie contest, now I am not advocating pies with a lot of sugar but I’m trying to perfect a pie without the sugar and still tastes sweet. First, I wanted to tackle the perfect lunch. The Peach Pie will appear in my blog soon.
Sumptious Portobello Pita Sandwiches
  1. This takes about 20 to 25 minutes to make. You will need the following:
  2. 4 pitas without pockets from the health food store, I get mine from Whole Foods or from Aikens, any place where the Pita is fresh and organic is fine.
  3. 3 medium portobello mushrooms that are organic and fresh
  4. 2 tablespoons of organic olive oil
  5. 2 medium organic green peppers,sliced
  6. 1 small organic red pepper,sliced
  7. 1 small organic yellow pepper,sliced
  8. 1 large organic onion, sliced very thin.
  9. A bag of fresh spinach leaves
  10. 1 dash of sea salt
  11. 1 dash of organic ground black pepper
  12. 2 tablespoons of water
  13. 1/2 tablespoon vinegar (organic)
  14. 10 ounces organic, shredded mozzarella cheese
  15. 1 container of organic vanilla yogurt. ( I use the Greek kind)
Instructions: Preheat oven to 400 degrees F, unless your runs hot like mine does, then preheat to 375 degrees F. Heat a nonstick skillet over a medium heat until it gets hot. Take the Mushrooms out, clean them and brush both front and back sides with the oil, lightly. Place mushrooms in the hot skillet and cook until they are tender and barely browned on both sides. Take mushrooms out of skillet, place them on a cutting board and slice them into nice thin slices. Put to one side.
In the same skillet, heat slightly the rest of the oil until hot. Put in the green pepper slices, the yellow pepper slices, and the red pepper slices. Add the onion slices, sea salt, black pepper and water. Cook these items until the vegetables are tender, do not over cook. This could take ten to fifteen minutes unless you have a hot stove like I do, then you have to watch them closely after ten minutes. You can spice it up by adding a dash of crushed red pepper if you want more “heat”. When vegetables are cooked, add the vinegar, stir then take skillet off the hot stove and place on a cool part. Now, put in the Portobello Mushrooms and stir them in along with the vegetables.
Put the flat pitas on a large flat cooking sheet, add the mozzarella cheese to the tops of the pitas and place the pitas inside the warmed up oven. Watch the pitas closely, until the cheese has melted. When it has melted, about five to seven minutes then take the pitas out of the oven, roll up the pitas like a burrito, close at the bottom and use a cloth napkin to keep the bottom closed. Take all the cooked vegetables, a few uncooked spinach leaves and the cooked Portobello Mushrooms and fill the pitas. You can add the yogurt as a dressing if you like.
And if you’re not a big cheese eater, you can cut the amount of cheese in half if you like.
You now have a sumptuous and healthy meal, it may be a bit messy but it’ll be fun and yummy!

Healing with Writing

Writing can be a powerful way to get in touch with past memories and feelings. As a child I had a transcendent experience with a healer that you can read about on my website. I wanted to find a way to recreate that feeling and to reconnect with the healing properties that are within us all. I discovered writing as a way to do just that. Here are some writing exercises you can do to heal.
  • Take ten minutes, write down everything you fell that needs healing in your life. Once you've finished, imagine that everything you wrote down is healed. See yourself in your minds eye completely healed. Let it all fall away.
  • Then ask yourself these questions and write down the answers.
    • What is your outcome to your health?
    • What is the purpose for having perfect health?
    • What do you want healed?
    • Why do you want to be healed?
  • As you write, Here are some key distinctions to make:
    1. Be relaxed.
    2. Stop all worry.
    3. Be an observer of your life. Float out of your body and see yourself. What did you notice?
    4. Stop all talk about your problems, this brings energy into your problems and feeds them.
    5. Let go of all anger, resentment, irritation and sadness towards others and toward yourself.
    6. Know in your heart and soul it’s possible and okay to be healed.
  • Now, feel warmth pouring over you. Breath in healing and breath out your impurities.
  • Then, write without stopping.
    • Write the first thing that comes to you.
    • What has been healed?
    • How do you feel?
    • What do you need to continue in your path toward healing?
    • What actions do you need to to take?
    • What actions are you willing to take?
Repeat this exercise as often as needed until you feel healed.

Happiness | Success | Sex Education | Relationships

Welcome to my website! If it is not already apparent, I am Susan Barnes. I have been writing professionally for over 20 years on topics such as relationships and advice (including long distance relationships), life coaching, success, love and happiness; personal development topics such as how to be charismatic, how to generate your own luck, how to be more intuitive, and how to be successful; and spirituality topics such as love magic, net magic, and magnetism. I teach people through sharing my success story and the success stories of others as well as examining how successful people approach things, and I’m not necessarily talking about business success. I have published five self-help books and books on relationships utilizing these topics to empower women and help them to develop strength and have healthy relationships. I have two more books that have been published but are yet to be released. Additionally, I have written nine children’s books geared toward empowering young girls, which were featured on Rachael Ray.

My motto is “Fall in love with you and others will too.” My books help you to do just that. Find love and happiness in your present circumstances and you will discover a level of spirituality and positivity that will be magnetic to others, which can open the door to positive relationships and help you with your pursuit of happiness.  My self-help books encourage personal development and give you examples of what can happen when you do the work to become the woman you want to be. Successful people are no different than you, they just have the knowledge and have taken the steps necessary to reach their goals, and I am passing that knowledge on to you.

Think about successful people that you know. What are their strengths? Charisma? Healthy relationships? Magnetism? All of these things are learned behaviors that I can teach you to help you become a success story. I give you proven, real world advice that will cause personal development in the areas that are most important to you. I can also help men learn how to approach women, and how to find the right kind of woman for real, healthy relationships and help with sex education that will lead to sexual and loving intimacy.

So, what is stopping you from taking that first step?  Light the fire that will become a flame of change in your life. You deserve love and happiness, you deserve personal success and business success and a deeper spirituality, you deserve healthy relationships and to become the person you’ve always wanted to be. Take that chance, make the leap. Whether it’s finally stepping out to pursue business success, or taking the risk on a long distance relationship or even deciding to make sex education a priority to strengthen a relationship you already have, take the step.

With so many self-help books and books on relationships on the store shelf, what makes my information different?  I’ll tell you: I take the pursuit of happiness seriously. It is a right in this country, yet so many people have given up on it. To be a success in this pursuit, start with the art of happiness. Don’t look to your circumstances for happiness, look inside to the incredible person you are and the potential that you have, and find happiness in relationships with family, friends and people you love. The pursuit of happiness doesn’t have a finish line. It is a continual striving to find positivity in your surroundings, so become a master in the art of happiness and become one of the success stories that I can share with others about the power of my advice and books on relationships.

So whether you want to leap into a long distance relationship, discover more pleasure with sex education or finally understand the pursuit of happiness as well as the art of happiness, I can help. Contact me or pick up my books and find answers that can change how you feel about yourself and how others perceive you. You can become a success story, take my 20 years of experience in relationship advice and life coaching and write your own ending. Who do you want to be? Let’s make it happen.
